I LOVE DUBAI MALL… It is when an impromptu invite from my friends/ family comes; I get vex over Dubai Mall. Visiting Dubai mall requires a certain amount of preparations (walking shoes being one!), as this mall is gigantic, and is a destination itself with plenty of places to explore. To make you well prepared to traverse the nook and corners of massive destination, I have compiled a list of Things To Do In Dubai Mall. Keep scrolling!
#1 Dancing Fountain
Dancing Fountain(which takes places every 30 minutes in the evening) is a visual treat to behold. You can watch the waters dancing with a whooping height in the backdrop of the mighty Burj Khalifa to different tunes. Recently, the waters danced for the “FRIENDS” series theme music in connection with their 25th anniversary and were adulated by the world.
#2 At The Top, Burj Khalifa
Make your bucket list dream come true inside Dubai Mall. Climb up the tallest building in the world with the help of one of the fastest elevators on the planet. Book early to avoid the crowds and long queues.
Open seven days a week, from 8:30 AM – 10 PM.
Last entry is 45 minutes before closing.
#3 Dubai Dino
Are you a dinosaur lover? Then Dubai Mall will make you go wow with its 150 million years old dinosaur skeleton from the late Jurassic period. Listed under the Diplodocus longus species, this huge skeleton is located in the souk area and is open free for the public.
#4 Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
Dubai Mall holds a 10 million litre tank that is home to the rare and unique aquatic species. You can marvel the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo from outside without paying a penny, or you can take the tickets and get a closer look at the animals with a tunnel experience. The tickets will get you access to the live feeding session of sharks, rays, and King Crock as well.
#5 Dubai Ice Rink
Desert and Ice rink is a contradiction, right? Dubai can make anything possible! There is an Olympic sized ice rink in Dubai mall where you can hire an instructor and learn some ice skating. Even when the mall shut down at night, the ice rink remains lit for the broomball game.
Kinokuniya is a book lovers paradise!It is a huge book store located opposite to the metro link in Dubai Mall which offers plenty of books as well as seats for the visitors to read books for free. However, you can’t borrow books since it is not a library.
Kids will take over the adults world in this fun zone of Dubai Mall. It is a fun family destination where the kids will do activities like fire-fighting, hosting a radio talk show, being a race car driver, and a restaurant employee.
#8 VR Park
VR indoor theme park is a gamer’s heaven with mind-blowing games and rides. From thrilling experiences to the tranquil visual treats, visitors can choose from over 20 rides and VR attractions (that have multiplayer options).
Why wait for Halloween when you have hysteria? Take a spine chilling journey inside this haunted mansion where you will experience horror in every step. Hysteria is your worst nightmare!
#10 Fashion Avenue
With a remarkable floor space of 400,000 sq. Ft, Fashion Avenue features the world’s largest selection of fashion brands under one roof. Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, Gina are some of the famous brands in this area.
#11 Human Waterfalls
Human Waterfalls are an excellent photo stop after a hectic shopping. Breathtaking waterfalls that can be seen from all the floors of Dubai mall adorned with artistic fibreglass sculptures of human divers is a spectacle to admire.
#12 Tent Studio
Tent Studio is a studio inside the Dubai Mall where you can dress up in Arabic costumes and take photographs. With falconers and henna drawing, this studio is a tiny peek into the traditional side of Dubai.
#13 The Emirates A380 Experience
Have you ever dreamt of flying an aeroplane? This flight simulator experience in Dubai Mall will let you operate the world’s largest passenger aircraft around the city scenes and famous landmarks. You can land, fly, takeoff, ascend and descend with our trainer in the cockpit.
#14 Historyland Studios
Aims to transport visitors back across the ages, through period costume, props and styling, the Historyland studio is an ultimate costume photoshoot experience. Go back to the time without a time machine.
#15 LOVE ME by Richard Hudson
LOVE ME is a 3D sculpture of a heart made by the artist Richard Hudson. It is a polished mirror steel structure open for the visitors to click some pictures. Keep your camera ready!
