The tea capital of Kerala is a lot more than what you see on google images. Growing up in Kerala, I have got the opportunity to visit this beautiful place frequently during weekends. Yes, if you have a heavenly location just a few hours away from your home, you will not definitely miss the chance to get a glimpse of the greenery, right? However, adulthood has erased many of the Munnar memories; hence, I decided to pay a visit to this paradise again this year to revive the good old days. All thanks to my proper planning and research, I covered almost all the famous tourist destinations in Munnar. And therefore, I can give you the best and top things to do in Munnar.
But before getting into the places to visit and things to do, let me give you a small insight into this beautiful hill station of Kerala. Situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level, in the Western Ghats mountain range, Munnar is a hill station located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is believed to mean “three rivers”, referring to its location at the confluence of the Mudhirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundali rivers. Home to a wide range of flora and fauna, the place is also famous for the endangered animals.
